في السنوات الأولى للاستقلال،وفي هدا القطاع عمل تحت إمرة الجنرال الدليمي،وبسبب اختلاف التكوين والأهداف والجرائم التي كان يرتكبها الجنرال اوفقير وزميله الدليمي،نشبت العداوة معهم فقرروا تصفيته،فلجأ الراحل إلى الجزائر عام 1963 ومنها إلى فرنسا حيث اشتغل بباريس في مجال الصحافة والترجمة،وفي عام 1966 سلط عليه الإعلام الفرنسي والدولي الضوء بعد أن أدلى بشهادته في قضية اختطاف واغتيال الشهيد المهدي بنبركة وكدا شهادته حول ملابسات اغتيال الشهيد محمد الحريزي صديق بنبركة مع أفراد عائلته الصغيرة(زوجته كانت سويسرية) بأحد الاقبية السرية،من هنا برزت مواجهته ومعارضته للنظام الدي عمل طويلا من أجل تنفيد قرار تصفيته بفرنسا والتي باءت بالفشل بحكم التجربة والخبرة الأمنية التي كان يتمتع بها الراحل،
في سنوات اللجوء والمنفى الاضطراري عاش الراحل وسط أسرة اليسار الجدري المعارض للنظام إلى أن انظم بعد التجميع والتوحيد الدي ثم في ربيع 1973 رفقة محمد بنسعيد آيت ايدر وحميد برادة وعبدالسلام الجبلي إلى منظمة 23 مارس الماركسية،والتي ستتحول بعد بضع سنوات إلى منظمة العمل الديمقراطي الشعبي. ……
