من رباعيات الشاعر والفيلسوف الكبير #عمر_الخيام في ذكرى ميلاده .
أفنيتُ عمري في اكتناه القضـاء
وكشف ما يحجبـه في الخـفاء
فلم أجـد أسـراره وانقضـى
عمري وأحسست دبيب الفـناء
لا تشـــغل الـبال بماضى الزمان
ولا بـــــآت العيش قبل الاوان
واغنم من الحــاضـر لـذاته
فلـــيس فى طبع الليالى الامان
غد بظهر الغيب واليوم لى
وكم يخيب الظن فى المقبل
ولست بالغافل حتى أرى
جمال دنياى ولا أجتلى
القلب قد أضناه عشق الجمال
والصدر قد ضاق بما لا يقال
يارب هل يرضيك هذا الظما
والماء ينساب أمامى زلال
لبستُ ثوب العمر لـم أُسْتَشَـرْ
وحرت فيه بيـن شتّـى الفكـر
وسوف أنضو الثوب عني ولـم
أدركْ لمـاذا جئـتُ أيـن المقـر
لـم يبرح الداء فؤادي العليـل
ولـم أنل قصدي وحان الرحيـل
وفـات عمـري وأنا جاهـل
كتاب هذا العمر حسم الـفصول
تناثرت أيّـام هـذا العـمر
تناثـر الأوراق حول الشـجر
فانعم من الدنيـا بلذّاتـهـا
من قبل أن تسقيك كفّ القدر
أطْفِئْ لظى القلب ببرد الشراب
فإنمـا الأيام مثــل السحاب
